Open access journal Cardiovascular Innovations and Applications (CVIA) now hosting on ScienceOpen

For over five years now, ScienceOpen has partnered with Compuscript to provide discovery services for Cardiovascular Innovations and Applications, an open access medical journal focusing on articles and original clinical research that explore novel developments in cardiovascular disease. CVIA is the official publication of the Great Wall International Congress of Cardiology (GW-ICC).

The 6 published volumes of 269 articles were viewed almost 75,000 times on the ScienceOpen platform over the past 5 years with 760 shares and 30 recommendations. ScienceOpen has been actively promoting the journal within its search environment and in all social media channels. So we are particularly excited that CVIA will now call the ScienceOpen platform home for its Open Access articles.

We are delighted to be expanding our long standing relationship with ScienceOpen. Moving CVIA to be fully hosted on ScienceOpen will allow the journal to build on its success by deploying the additional functionality available on the platform. It will help improve discoverability and the overall user experience for its readers and authors.

CVIA has now switched from its current Ingenta implementation to ScienceOpen’s open access hosting services in order to increase visibility even further, taking advantage of our innovative infrastructure and services such as Crossref DOI deposit, integration with ORCID, metadata delivery to indexing services, extensive analytics, and open post-publication review infrastructure.

Because the version of record will be hosted and DOIs will lead to the ScienceOpen platform, all articles and latest innovations featured in the CVIA Journal will be now placed into a broader research context of over 82 million articles, and get full benefit from our community management, dissemination, and promotional tools.

We have greatly enjoyed watching CVIA grow over the past years and are looking forward to providing more extensive services to their great team.
