Video Presentations from Road to Open Meta

Video Presentations from Road to Open Meta

Experts from the library and publishing industries discussed challenges in metadata communication within Open Access publishing processes on September 12, 2022 at the Road to Open Meta Conference.

The results of the BMBF-funded projects OA-META and OA-STRUKTKOMM were presented at the conference, and there was also a diverse program of presentations and discussions from experts from COUNTER, Crossref, OAPEN, BASE, and the University of Michigan Press. These presentations explored the questions of what makes communicating metadata and metadata difficult, how to overcome these obstacles, and how open access is changing the way metadata is used to evaluate research.

All contributions to the transfer conference were recorded and are now available on the HTWK Leipzig’s media server. The abstracts of the presentations, as well as the posters from other BMBF projects, will be summarized in a Conference Collection on ScienceOpen in the near future
